Description

RECORD SALE Artist Various Title Caribbean Folk Music Volume 1
Disc Size 2x 12" LP Audio Format Mono Year of Release 1960 Label Ethnic Folkways Catalogue Number FE 4533 Notes No booklet, 2LP boxset

This week I've listed the remaining doubles of folk records from my collection that I'm sorting through, including folk-rock, traditional Irish and a few Folkways and Topics.

Rare 2 LP set from Folkways titled 'Caribbean Folk Music, Vol. 1', recorded by Harold Courlander in the 1950s. This is a hard to find box set from the earlier Ethnic Folkways series. Sadly the booklet is missing but the notes in scanned PDF format can be downloaded for free from the Smithsonian website.

Vinyl Visual: Excellent
Very clean discs except for side four which has some feelable marks in one area. I'm not sure if these will affect the audio as more than clicks.

Box: Very Good +
These Folkways cardboard boxes tend to get quite a bit of wear but this one is holding up nicely. Light shelf wear and a slight mark to the spine. The only other mark is where a sticker seems to have been on the black rear and left a scuff mark. You can just about make it out in the photo but it isn't anything noticeable.

SMALL PRINT
- Securely packaged in a custom mailer with cardboard sheets inside for protection. If you'd like further packing let me know and I'll see what I can do.
- Postage costs cover actual Royal Mail postage and packaging costs only. I do not make profit on postage.
- Cash is accepted but sent TOTALLY at the winning bidder's risk. This is not an advised method of payment and as such I will accept no responsibilty for loss of monies in the post.
- Returns are accepted if there is a genuine problem with the item you have received from me, although I'm not responsible for damage in the post. I'm very careful with packaging - I send my items the way I like to receive them!! I will not be responsible for postage costs for returns. I reserve the right to refuse a return if I believe the circumstances to be unworthy and/or dubious.
- If the item is not sent by recorded delivery or with insurance (the buyer's choice) then I cannot be held responsible if the item gets lost in the post. If the unfortunate does happen then I always get a proof of postage receipt and will help you as much as I can.

These prices are for ONE LP only. Postage discounts on multiple items are of course available, I only charge actual costs for more than one LP which is why I'll contact the winning bidder with a total p&p figure in case some of the records are lighter, therefore making actual postage more accurate than a general figure I guess at beforehand.

Please wait for me to send you an invoice before you pay if you have won more than one item. Thanks!
