Description
Super-rare "Offering," Carpenters' debut album. After the band's second Lp, "Close to You," made Carpenters stars, this version was quickly withdrawn from circulation, the album was retitled "Ticket to Ride," and the front-cover shot of Karen and Richard changed to the more flattering sailboat photo. This is a good-quality copy -- kept from being great thanks to some shelf wear on the front cover, and what looks like a few hype-sticker remnants on the back cover. But it's still library worthy, and the jacket itself is rock-solid, with nice spines and no splits. The record plays beautifully (spot on photo is a light reflection, BTW), with only a few seconds of surface wear audible at the very start of side one.
