Description

This is an original 1973 vinyl release. It was designed by graphic artists Rod Dyerand Bob Weiner, as Zippo lighter. The sleeve functioned like a real Zippo lighter case, opening at a side hinge to reveal the record within. Only the original pressing of 20,000 had the Zippo cover. Each cover had to be hand-riveted, which was not cost-effective, so all the other pressings had an alternative cover designed by John Bonis, featuring an Esther Anderson portrait of Marley smoking a "spliff", As there were only 20,000 of this it makes it very rare. This can sell for £500 to £2000 in excellent condition.

After 50 years it has alot of ware and tare. Photos will show this clearly. The top is fraid and the hinge is disconnected.  The record itself is in fairly good condition and is very playable. Obviously I'm not expecting top dollar.  But a fair price for this piece of Bob Marley history. It would look great framed and on a wall.
