Description

This is the rare EP of the Charles Mingus Octet “Recorded Live at the Monterey Jazz Festival” on East Coasting ECEP 1. The record is mint, unplayed, with a high luster. The art sleeve is in near-new condition, bright and clean throughout. This record was original included as a bonus in the first 100 copies of the l984 reissue of “Mingus at UCLA”. The material is from Mingus’ appearance at the l965 Monterey Jazz Festival and is unique on this EP. Personnel include Lonnie Hillyer, Jimmy Owens, Charles McPherson, and Julius Watkins.
