Description
This is the second pressing of Charles Mingus “Mingus at Monterey” on the deep groove labels of Charles Mingus JWS 001/002. This limited edition is numbered (235) on the Side 1 label and on each of the inner sleeves. The playing surfaces are in excellent condition, with a beautiful luster. The coated gatefold cover – signed (slightly smudged) by Mingus – has a break (but no split) and minor wear - on the edge of the spine, ¼” wear at the top corners, 1” wear at the spine on the bottom seam of both panels, and 4 ½” wear on the bottom seam at the opening of the back panel. Personnel include Lonnie Hillyer, Charles McPherson, John Handy, Buddy Collette, Jaki Byard, and Dannie Richmond. $200.00
