One of Charlie's greatest and most beloved albums, from his prime early days!
Featuring sidemen Skip Rose and the very young Robben and Patrick Ford.
Recorded January and February, 1971 at Sierra Sound Laboratories; Berkeley, Ca.
All recordings were made "live' with no overdubbing.
I actually co-produced a concert of this line-up of the band in Monterey, CA the same month/year (Feb.1971).
My poster for that concert is LAST PHOTO. Poster is NOT included with this LP. I have NO more left.
...was my 1st-ever professional concert poster. My others got much better over the months/years.
Several can be seen at the ESPRESSOBEANS Poster/handbill site (Keyword: HELWIG)
I can't tell the exact year this LP was pressed, but there is no Bar Code on the cover and the very last actual LPs pressed by ARHOOLIE was in the 1980's.
