 The Jazz Scene Produce by Norman Granz on Six 12 Inch Mercury 78 RPM Records. Includes music by Charlie Parker, Duke Ellington, Neal Hefti, Lester Young and others. Records grade E-. Records play that or better. Records have some small very light scuffs here and there that do not sound.  The album itself is in nice condition. There are 31 pictures including the two pictures mounted in the album.  The paper that the text is on in the album has discolored ( pictures 10 & 11).  I have seen a couple of these albums over the years and they also had the same discoloration. So I believe it is do to the original paper used and not a storage issue. The photos are on heavy paper and they are not affected by this. There are two creases on two different pages with the text. One page has a large crease and another page has a smaller crease. The photo pages are in fine condition. This album is put together like a notebook. Two of the paper pages ( No photo pages) have the bottom ring hole torn. Hardly noticeable and does not affect the page when turning it.  The spine of the album is solid. For the age of this album and the fact that most paper does not age well it is in pretty nice condition.  This album will be insured when it is shipped which is included in the shipping price.   Please look at the pictures as they are part of the description.     

Grading

All records are graded visually and aurally. Records may need to be cleaned. Records are guaranteed to be in the condition stated. If there is a problem, please contact me and we will resolve it.

Grading Scale

N-   Looks to be new. If played, you couldn't tell.

E+   Fantastic copy. No wear, marks or scuffs. May have been played a few times and well taken care of.

E     Excellent. Still no wear, shows signs of handling, but nothing major. No marks or scuffs.

E-    A shade under Excellent. Starting to see a small amount of groove wear and handling. Not bad still plays great.

V+   Starting to see groove wear and definite signs of use. Still an acceptable copy, plays fine with no problems. Better than average record.

V     Groove wear and signs of use definitely present. Record will play through with no problems. You will notice surface noise (possibly). Light scratches and or scuffs possible but will not affect play unless noted. No stressed grooves.

V-    Record is worn. Record will still play through. You will have definite surface noise and possible stressed grooves. Scratches and digs will be present, but will track ok if not noted.
