Description
Here is one of the rarest 12 inch lp's in the world , Charlie Parker's The Bird Blows The Blues on Dial DLP 1 .
This was the first Jazz , 12 inch record ever made , in the spring of 1949.
The lp was available by mail order only , for about 3 weeks in 1949, then was reissued on Dial 901. This record was not issued with a cover.this lp is extremely rare, with possibly less than ten worldwide. And, since the 1st 12" jazz record made happens to have one of the most influencial jazz artists in history, makes it that much more desirable.
The Vinyl is in VG+ condition. This lp has been played , and has some backround noise and scuffs, which is to be expected with this lp that was mailed out, without a cover.
It may be years before another one of this rarity comes along. Own a piece of history!
