Description

Here is a rare 45 by The Chico Band featuring vocalist Rodrigo Davila on Joey Records.  Has ‘Chico’s Getto (part 1)’ b/w ‘Chico’s Getto (part 2)’.  I’ve never seen any other records by these guys.  Looking at the label, appears to be San Antonio around the early to mid 1970’s.  Great Funk / Soul / Jazz mash up.  ‘Part 1’ is all instrumental , while ‘Part II’ features vocals.  Record is in VG++ condition, with only a few minimal pops.  Hear sound clips here:

Great record for fans of Chicano Latin Soul / Funk / Texas Jazz / Rock / Tex Mex / Tejano.  Also great for those Break Beat DJ's out there.  Nice drum breaks.  Had a sound close to that of their peers Manny Guerra and Latin Breed / Sunny and The Sunliners / Royal Jesters / Sol / The Midniters / Little Joe and The Latinaires / Tortilla Factory / Kashmere Stage Band.
