Description
Here's a great original pressing USA EP from 1957, Buddy Holly and the Crickets in "The Chirping Crickets" with four great tunes including "That'll Be the Day" (inspired from "The Searchers" with John Wayne mouthing the famous words that Buddy adapted into this great song).
Cover is a nice M-, front has almost no visible wear, seams are perfect, back cover has minor foxing (my keeper copy does also, must be typical for this issue).
I've included two, not one, EP records to go with this because the first record (scans 3 and 4 below) is NM (near-mint) with minor scuffs to the label. The second record is VG+ but has perfect labels, so you can choose which one to keep (are you built for show or for go). Either way, in this day of MP3 downloads, no one is going to be playing these beauties more than once, so it's up to you.
My old 1999 Osborne catalog lists this item at $350, bidding starts at 99 cents.
This is part of a huge 45 collection I am selling for a widow, her husband was a dilligent record collector for nearly 50 years. Most of the material from this collection was cleaned with a Nitty Gritty Record Cleaning machine and will be carefully graded and sorted for sale by groups and categories, there is alot of M- stuff in this group so please keep checking back in the weeks to come to see it.
Shipping is $5 for priority mail with minimal insurance within U.S. If you live in another country, I will need to find out the shipping charge, it will probably be sent Registered Mail for around $13 but I have to check this out.
