Description
Following a move of house I need to reduce the size of my record collection and will be selling 100's of these in the coming weeks. Having had so much time at home has meant that I have been able to arrange the collection back into some semblance of order.
I am now offering more classic albums released from the 1960s onwards; all will be advertised together to help reduce postage per item for multiple buyers; I have a large number of these albums available; please look at the full list of items I am selling.
On offer here is a rare FULL SWIRL pressing of the album 'Valentyne Suite' by Colosseum on Vertigo Records VO1 847 800 VTY from 1969. The vinyl is in VG+ condition with a few superficial hairlines to the playing surfaces. The sleeve is original (graded VG), with some shelf wear but no tears, repairs or significant creasing; the inner swirl sleeve remains intact. This album is a UK early first pressing with matrix runouts 886 775 2*Y*1 420 1111 and 886 775 1Y*1 420 119. It is the pressing which has 'A Philips Record Product' printed at the bottom of the credits and P 1969 on the label sited directly above 331/3, rather than to one side. The track B1 appears on the label as 'part 1, 2 and 3', as opposed to 'theme 1, 2 and 3. This detail should be enough for a serious collector/dealer to appreciate the rarity and value of this 50+ years old album.
