Description
This superb slab of progressive jazz-rock is well-known for being the very first issue on the Vertigo label in 1969. This copy has the earliest ‘Philips’ credit on the label, as well as being signed on the front by Jon Hiseman, Tony Reeves and the late, great Dick Heckstall-Smith. Matrices are 1v*1 420/2*v*1 420, almost certainly a first pressing.
Gatefold sleeve – Ex- In very good shape, just an old sticker tear and pen mark on the rear.
Labels – Ex- Moderate spindlewear. Clean and tidy.
Inner sleeve – VG- Original Vertigo swirl polylined bag. Rather creased.
Record – Visually Ex, just the lightest sleeve removal marks. Playback is Ex-, clear and powerful audio with the usual light crackle at times..
I grade all records strictly using the 'Record Collector' guide.
