Description

Rare original 1960 Columbia CL 1541 mono pressing—Duke Ellington & His Orchestra’s legendary jazz interpretation of Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker Suite, arranged with Billy Strayhorn. This is a true “DEMONSTRATION – NOT FOR SALE” promo copy, as stamped on both record labels.

Vinyl is VG+ (very good plus): retains excellent gloss with only light sleeve marks, no significant scratches, and plays through cleanly. Labels are crisp, promo-stamped. Jacket is also VG+ with vivid color, minimal age wear, no seam splits or writing—see detailed photos for actual condition.

An iconic jazz collectible—hard to find as a stamped promo in this condition. Ships safely in a dedicated mailer with the record outside the sleeve to protect against seam splits.
