Columbia SAX 2369-72 B/S – MOZART: DON GIOVANNI – Wachter/Sutherland/Giulini
1960 Columbia stereo recording on Blue/Silver labels, boxed set of 4-LPs catalogue number SAX 2369-72. Carlo Maria Giulini conducting a stellar cast of Eberhard Wachter, Joan Sutherland, Luigi Alva, Elisabeth Schwarzkopf, etc., with the Philharmonia Orchestra & Chorus.
N.B. The 4-discs are in overall superb condition; occasional VERY faint surface marks and the only real visual defect is a curved scratch on Side 4 which is inaudible. In total throughout the whole 8 sides there are only about 20 noticeable ticks plus occasional VERY faint ticks (probably static). The cast/content leaflet is slightly foxed/discoloured. The small format libretto is intact but the covers are creased and the staples are rusty! Box is very good; intact with some scuffing and dirty marks.
