Description
This is part of a large auction featuring R&B, doo-wop and blues singles from several small independent labels of the 1950's/early 60's.
Here's the info on this item:
Release: Jack McVea w/ Al Smith & The Savoys - Chop Chop Boom
Format: 45 rpm 7" single
Year: 1955
Notes: Red label first pressing. One of just a few releases by this saxophonist in the mid 50's. He played in many bands, but didn't release a lot of records credited to himself. A-side has a great driving beat accented by a "honking" sax. B-side is a slower, bluesier track. Great stuff on both!
Vinyl Condition: VG, Vinyl itself is in great shape with just a couple of scuffs, but it does have some noticeable cosmetic hazing from liquid exposure. It plays really well and sounds great with no skips/ticks/bumps, hardly any background noise at all. Labels have some liquid wear as well, including some scuffing and color transfer. This is a great player copy, but I'm bumping it to VG for cosmetics.
Sleeve Condition: VG-, has a vintage blank sleeve, but I believe it's original due to the unusual shape. Has some wrinkling water staining. No tears/splits, not great shape, but it's there at least.
All records I sell have been personally cleaned and play tested. Check back in late-January for a rock 'n roll/rockabilly auction and a very cool selection of 78's after that.
I want buying from me to be a good experience for you. I also know that condition can be very subjective, so I encourage you to see pics for exact condition details and ask questions if you need additional information. As always, the item you see is the one you will get. Please see my feedback, I think that will show that I am an accurate and fair grader and make sure my customers are happy.
I will combine shipping for anyone who wins more than one item. If you do need combined shipping, please wait for an invoice before paying.
