Description

An original 1st press of GREEN RIVER on UK Liberty from summer 1969. Matrix A1/B2. The Blue Liberty label is a 1st for this title. And the pressing quality from this period is absolutely superb - monster heavy. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original textured cover. We also have an original 'plastic bag warning' inner sleeve from late 60's. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) Holy cow - a total time traveller. Beautiful lustre and waste-wax in the spindle hole. Under close inspection I could only make out a couple of slightest marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. jeepers creepers - this copy is nothing short of astonishing. Very low mileage - particularly given the '69 vintage. A through testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are lovely and quiet and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. On a clean 1st copy the audio is extremely addictive. Plays like a dream - and boy there are some great tracks on this album. I've heard a couple of great copies - but this copy is probably a new entry at No.1...it is just ridiculously good for audio. THE WHOLE GAMUT is perfectly intact. I have never heard a 60's record play better - period.. At worst a couple of crackles in a couple of isolated spots and one single isolated tick side 2. FINAL UPGRADE. Inscription atop one of the labels.
Cover (Ex) Wowzer - this cover is a total pain to find in decent condition - very prone to surface wear. This original cover has lovely flat unworn surfaces with full colour integrity. It's a stunner for sure.. So, so, many are knackered by this point in time. Lightest edge wear - I can't begin to tell you how unusual that is. Nice firm unfeathered opening [never!]. The spine is 99% intact and would be nigh on impossible to replicate. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg) Aged. Bag present. No splits.
