Description
Prestige Bluesville 1021, “Trouble Blues” with Curtis Jones, piano and vocals, backed by Johnny Walker, guitar; Robert Banks, organ; Leonard Gaskin, bass; Belton Evans, drums; from 1961. Vinyl is original-label and heavy but not DG; it plays mostly at NM but there is slight static on Side B. Laminated jacket is in the original shrink wrap and looks more or less like new with no seamwear, corner wear, ringwear, bends, dirt, writing, or stamps. Songs are “Lonesome Bedroom Blues”, “Whole Lot of Talk for You” “Suicide Blues”, “Please Say Yes’, “Weekend Blues”, “Good Woman Blues”, “Trouble Blues”, “Love Season”, “Low Down Worried Blues”, “Good Time Special”, and “Fool Blues”. This is one of a set of original Bluesville LPs from several collections brought together for sale this week on eBay. Most are original DG copies in remarkable condition, and many are in the original shrink wrap. Shipping is $4.00 media mail, $8.00 priority mail within the continental U.S.; $16.00 regular airmail to the U.K., Europe, Japan, Korea, Australia, and New Zealand. Additional LPs in a single package are $1.00 additional within U.S. and Canada, $2.00 elsewhere. For overseas shipments, registered mail is strongly recommended at $11.75 extra. Many old records are practically antiques and should be treated that way. This LP will be packaged with the record inside an inner sleeve but outside the jacket; both are placed inside a sealed outer sleeve and shipped inside a special oversized handcrafted mailer with padding on all sides. It is designed thick enough not to be bent in transit and strong enough to withstand a drop from a second-story window. More than two LPs together may be mailed inside a heavy Bags Unlimited pizza-style box. Your LP should arrive in the same condition as on the day it was shipped. All used LPs are play-graded on a VPI turntable with Audioquest tonearm and Grado cartridge.
