Description
TODAY (2/18) I HAVE PURCHASED ONE OF THE BEST VINYL COLLECTIONS I'VE EVER ACQUIRED - IT BELONGED TO A MAN WHO WORKED IN PROMOTION FOR ATLANTIC RECORDS IN LOS ANGELES FOR 20 YEARS FROM THE LATE 1960S THROUGH THE 1980s - THE COLLECTION CONTAINS ALL SORTS OF PROMOS, PROMO ONLY ITEMS, SEALED LPs, PICTURE DISCS, TEST PRESSINGS, AND AUDIOPHILE PRESSINGS - I'LL BE LISTING TWO ITEMS A DAY FROM THIS COLLECTION FOR A LONG TIME - KEEP WATCHING MY AUCTIONS FOR SOME OF THE BEST ROCK ITEMS I'VE EVER OFFERED!
This is a 1982 U.S. BACKSTREET RECORDS 7" PICTURE DISC SINGLE containing the David Bowie vocal version of the song titled 'Cat People (Putting Out Fire), the theme from the movie titled 'Cat People', on both sides of the disc. It is Backstreet Records U.S. catalog number MC-12805 E, packaged in its original rigid clear plastic liner. This picture disc was a PROMO ONLY item, and was not sold at retail.
Condition of picture disc is a SOLID NM with no visible surface marks, and no warps; I do not believe the picture disc had ever been removed from its clear plastic liner before I removed it for grading. Rigid clear plastic outer inner is in VG+ condition with a few slight wrinkles, 1" splits in the middle of its bottom edge and near the top of one side edge, and a small pinhole through the liner at the center hole of the record; this does not affect the record at all. This RARE AND SOUGHT AFTER PROMO ONLY 7" PICTURE DISC would be a choice addition to any David Bowie record collection! First class mail postage within the U.S. is $3.25. I WILL SHIP WORLDWIDE - REGISTERED WITH SIGNATURE DELIVERY FIRST CLASS INTERNATIONAL AIRMAIL POSTAGE TO AREAS OUTSIDE THE U.S EXCEPT FOR CANADA (21.95) is $27.50. BUYER PLEASE DO NOT SEND CASH - IT PROBABLY WILL NOT GET HERE! I will give an immediate refund (less shipping) upon return of the picture disc if buyer is dissatisfied for any reason. Good luck!
