Description

Ultra-Rare 1969 UK Original First Pressing Promotional CopyUp for auction/sale is an incredibly scarce, genuine promotional copy of David Bowie’s legendary single "Space Oddity" backed with "Wild Eyed Boy From Freecloud", released on the Philips label in 1969.This historic piece features the highly collectible white and red "Philips" promo radio station design layout with the prominent "NOT FOR SALE" text and red promotional dagger stamps emblazoned across the face of the label.Condition Details:Vinyl Condition: Excellent / Near Mint (EX/NM). The vinyl playing surface is exceptionally clean, glossy, i think i can see a faintest of lightest of scratch but can barely be seen even by naked eye and does not affect play just trying to be as precise as possible i have photo of each angle in light . It has been meticulously cared for.

Runout Groove / Matrix Identification Details:Side A Matrix (Stamped): 304201 1F // 1 Stamper / Mother Codes (Stamped): 4 20 and 1 1 Significance: This specific 1F // 1 matrix stamp confirms an absolute first-day factory pressing from the original master tape lacquer. Coupled with the promo stamp, this is the earliest possible sonic master of "Space Oddity" ever pressed.

Center Configuration: This record was originally dinked (large jukebox-style center hole) or had its original push-out center removed. It has been safely fitted with a removable, non-original vintage black plastic 3-prong adapter spider to allow playback on standard small-spindle turntables.

Note this also has the correction on it where it was put with a Mono print on it which has been blanked out.

Includes the highly sought-after, original 1969 UK Philips "Antistatic Discleaner" company paper sleeve. The sleeve is completely intact with no seam splits, structural tears, or ink writing. It shows expected gentle handling creases and natural vintage paper aging/browning consistent with its age, but remains exceptionally clean overall.
THIS WAS PART OF A SOUND ENGINEERS COLLECTION SO VERY WELL CARED FOR.

THIS ITEM WILL BE POSTED FULLY INSURED AND PACKAGED AS SUCH SO NO DAMAGE I WILL PAY TO ENSURE THIS.

This also includes je t’aime promo single and also dusty Springfield- how can i be sure promo single both as pictured micro dot on je t’aime barely noticeable when played a tiny blib is heard. And Dusty Springfield in good condition agin barely can see mark but plays well no slips etc.
