Description
DAVID BOWIE The Man Who Sold The World, rare original 1971 German issue 9-track vinyl LP
DAVID BOWIE The Man Who Sold The World, rare original 1971 German issue 9-track vinyl LP on the blue Mercury label, stunning & unique fold-out circular picture sleeve, complete with the original thick red card lyric inner.
This is a guaranteed original LP - not one of the counterfeits that started to appear a few years ago. This can be confirmed by the machine stamped matrix numbers which are as follows:
10 AA6338041 1Y 320
10 AA6338041 2Y 320
The vinyl retains its deep gloss sheen and under bright light has some light wispy hairlines and sleeve removal lines and scuffs. The labels have German perimeter text and are beautifully clean with sharp silver print and few spindle marks around the centre hole (VG+)
The fold-out circular picture sleeve is bright and vibrant. These are prone to wear and splits from constant folding and unfolding - this one however has all folds/edges intact with only minor shelfwear (EX)
There is a little light wear to the edges of the lyric inner, with all text clearly legible.
A genuine original in nice condition - these just don't come around very often.
