Description
A rare double sided 12" Uk Trident acetate by David Bowie. This is a very interesting demo disc which contains almost the complete lp of 'The Man Who Sold The World' that was released in 1970. This acetate version is nearly the same as the standard pressing,except the songs are in different order and also the 'Running Blues' song is missing from the acetate.
I don't know if the songs are differente from the lp version ('The Man Who Sold The World') so I list the length of each song except 'The Man Who...' as I couldn't time it properly because of the jumps. I hope that can be helpful.
On the label of the first side has a sticker: BBC RADIO (LONDON).
It comes in an original Trident sleeve with the list of songs on the front.

Condition of disc :
Unfortunately on the first side there is a deep cyclic scratch at 'The Man Who...' song. It starts at the beginning and continuous until the midlle of the song. At the beginning of the song some strong click noise can be heard but the needle doesn't jump. The first (small) jump is at 12. mp, the second (small) one at 32. mp and last (big) one is at 1'08. There are no more jumps after that.
Some strong crackling can be heard mostly between songs and quite parts but it's not very significant.
Except the scratch on the first side there are only light marks over the surfaces on both sides which were probably caused by the sleeve.
I would grade the look as Very Good +.
The sound quality is excellent.
Proof of originality:
I have some more acetate from different bands (Beatles, R. Stones, Applejacks... etc). I took some Beatles acetete to
a well known auction house (Christies's) where after and expert carefully checked them they went on sale and all of them
were sold.
Also I have some Beatles acetates and those originality were confirmed by the sound engineer who made them .
This David Bowie acetate is from the same collection. I can prove all the above information and the buyer can be sure that
the acetate is original.
