Released in 1969 on the Harvest label, I am offering today this original UK pressing of this classic second studio album by rock legends DEEP PURPLE. The album is titled "THE BOOK OF TALIESYN". The vinyl is in excellent condition and has the GRAMOPHONE rim text which was only on early pressings before being changed to EMI.

The album when originally released did not sell in large numbers making it a sought after album among Purple and rock collectors alike. This was also the second purple album to feature original vocalist Rod Evans.

For anyone that has never heard this album it is full of great tracks including their rendition of the Neil Diamond hit "KENTUCKY WOMAN" and The BEATLES "WE CAN WORK IT OUT" and Ike & Tina Turner's "RIVER DEEP MOUNTAIN HIGH".

The album comes complete with its original outer laminated gatefold sleeve printed by Ernest J Day which features artwork by the bands own Keyboard player JOHN LORD which is in very good condition with no splits stickers or unwanted writing etc but has yellowed with age and shows some wear to the corners and edges.

The album also comes complete with its original Harvest company inner sleeve which is in very clean condition.

The VINYL, The Vinyl visually looks excellent, you can see that this has not been played more than a few times. Needless to say that it plays with absolutely no nasty sticks or skips or pops etc.

The SLEEVE, The outer laminated gatefold sleeve printed by Ernest  J day which shows stunning artwork by John Lords is in very good clean condition. the spine is fully legible but It shows some general shelf wear otherwise clean with no stickers splits or unwanted writing etc.

The LABELS, The Gramophone rim text boxed EMI Harvest labels are very clean, showing minimal spindle traces. Needless to say they are free from unwanted writing or stickers etc.

The INNER, The original Harvest inner is clean and free from unwanted writing, stickers or splits etc.

I try to be accurate in my grading as I know what its like to buy miss graded items but won't insult you by writing song lyrics etc. If you feel I have not described this correctly I am happy to refund you providing I receive the item back in the same condition as it leaves me, But I can only refund one lot of postage,
