DEEP PURPLE - shades of deep purple
Ultra rare and extremely hard to find white label test pressing manufactured in the UK
This edition is rumoured to have been pressed in maximum 50 copies only!! It's the mono mix pressing with white labels and with no mother/stamper codes present. The sleeve is the flip-back edition with the Shades 5-heads image pasted on front. They were all used for promotional purposes, some were given to various EMI executives and others were given to various UK radio stations.
As the following hand-written text is to be found on the back sleeve: "SHADES OF DEEP PURPLE" - DEMO (HARVEST RECORDS) DEC. 1976 - RELEASED BY EMI MCH '77, I believe this particular copy were stored at a radio station archive and then re-used for promoting the 1977 reissue.

CONDITION :
- sleeve : VG~VG+ (typical age browning and wear as you can expect from a 50 year old sleeve; woc on back)
- vinyl : VG+ (some surface lines and scratches; still quite glossy looking surface; will play with moderate background noise)
- labels : EX- (wol; stamp on side 1; some spindle lines too)
My grading is based on Record Collector's grading system and all my records are visually graded. If you for any reason disagree with my grading please let me know. Don't give me a lower rating without giving me the chance to sort it out!
