Description

RARE SET! Long before US RCA ever issued the 100th year set of complete Duke Ellington, French RCA was busy for years releasing one by one, 24 volumes of The Works of Duke, covering his great years from the mid Twenties to the late Forties (plus a live concert from 1952 in Vol.24). I'm offering Mint- copies of the originals bought one by one as they came out, all 24, plus the four (nos. 14-17) that had to be quickly revised and reissued because the originals included tracks (radio transcriptions I think) that RCA did not have the rights to. So 28 very collectable records featuring one label's best of Ellington, gathered over nearly 30 years.

You won't find many sets like this one left in the world. (A few of the jacket edges need reglueing, not torn or worn, just inadequate glue used.)

PLEASE NOTE: eBay system says $4 shipping, but that is for ONE LP. I'll need to collect a more reasonable amount for 28!
