Description
Up for consideration is a beautiful NM/NM ADVANCED PROMO LP and CUSTOMIZED COVER of "PACIFIC OCEAN BLUE" (PZ 34354), which was pressed in 1977 on the CARIBOU RECORDS label. This WHITE LABEL PROMO has "ADVANCED PROMOTION" and "DEMONSTRATION NOT FOR SALE" text on it's labels. Instead of being in it's standard cover, this promo version is in a plain white cover that has been pre-printed with DENNIS WILSON"S handwriting. On top of the pre-printed message, DENNIS added his actual handwriting to add a custom "Dear ( recipients first name )" before the message. He also added his signature after the "Thank You" in the close of the letter. I got this jewel from a friend of mine who used to be a supervisor of record sales for a major record manufacturer in the 70's. He lived in L. A. and was invited to attend the promotional event in L. A. where along with lots of food and drinks, he was also introduced to DENNIS WILSON who of course was there pushing his first solo lp. Each invited guest were given the promo record and personalized message with signature. This is an extremely rare promo gift and is hardly ever found in this great condition. Over the years, only 10 to 20 have surfaced for public sale. What a great find for DENNIS WILSON/BEACH BOYS COLLECTORS !!
