Description
Progress Report by Dizzy Reece; - Tempo TAP 9
An ultra rare original issue on the British Tempo label.
THIS IS AN ABSOLUTE HOLY GRAIL JAZZ ALBUM FROM 1957 VERY VERY RARE. Never been sold on discogs and only 14 people have this record registered on there (this is one of them).
As far as im aware only 10 copies since 2008 have previously sold on Ebay! (worldwide!) (Source Popspike)
SLEEVE
Laminated cover is in VG condition with a corner bend at bottom corners, some of lamination has peeled on the front (but you can only tell on close inspection). The Rear Lamination is intact and not damaged although discolored through age.
Some rubbing/wear on lower of spine, with the expected minor wear. Importantly NO splits. The previous owner “Stan Steel” has stamped his name on the cover and centre label and there is a number 30 in biro on the front cover.
VINYL + LABEL
Label – Amazingly clean for +60 year old record – Stan Steel stamp
The vinyl is visually quite clean looking; bright light reveals some scuffs and small marks. Playback is mainly VG with some soft audible background crackle..it's a bit heavier on side A. Side B has a great sound with minimal noise on my Stereo.
Overall this is very nice copy and it even comes with the original inner sleeve. A holy grail of UK jazz and extremely rare.
I have uploaded pics of any minor issues and ive tried to be realistic with the gradings but if you have any questions or want samples of the audio let me know.
