Description

DJ Tiesto - Sparkles

2000 UK Original Pressing - Nebula / Black Hole Recordings - NEBTX002

WHY THIS RECORD

Sparkles was DJ Tiesto's first solo release in the United Kingdom and the record that put him on UK dance floors in 2000. The Airscape Remix was the one that moved rooms, a track that anyone active in the early trance scene will recognize immediately. The Starecase Remix on the B-side also developed its own following and holds up as a standalone reason to own this pressing. Black Hole Recordings was co-founded by Tiesto himself, and original pressings from this era on the Nebula sublabel have become genuine collector targets as the early trance scene gets its long overdue reappraisal.

CONDITION

Sleeve: EX - Both faces of the distinctive anime picture sleeve are vivid, fully saturated, and clean. Colors are bright with no fading. No scuffing, no creasing, no corner damage. For a 25-year-old DJ 12" this sleeve is in exceptional shape and will be immediately obvious to any serious collector.

Vinyl: NM - Both sides are dark, quiet, and clean. No visible marks, hairlines, or handling impressions. Plays silently.

Labels: NM - Both white Nebula labels are crisp, clean, and fully legible. No writing, no stickers.

WHY THIS COPY STANDS OUT

The picture sleeve on NEBTX002 is one of the stronger pieces of cover art from the UK trance scene of this era. Most copies that surface have sleeve wear from years of DJ handling. This one does not. There are currently 221 active want-listers for this pressing on Discogs, which tells you exactly the kind of demand that exists for a clean copy.
