DON RENDELL/IAN CARR 5 'Shades Of Blue' (COLUMBIA 33SX 1733) Original UK Columbia
MONO pressing in 1965 with blue/black label and laminate flip back cover.

This is one of the "classic", British Modern Jazz albums and features Don Rendell, Ian Carr,
Colin Purbrook, Dave Green and Trevor Tomkin.
Despite the condition this is a rare chance to buy this very rare album on the original vinyl.

Cover : Ex Very fragile laminated thin sleeve with some light wear, stains and edges crease for its age.
Very small seam split on the top (see pic 6). Very small tear on the label side 1 (see pic 4).

Vinyl : Ex Very few whisper hairlines on either side. Other wise there are no serious marks to speak of.
Of course NO skip or jump, No distortion.
Soundwise, it plays very well, with just the faint crackle (side 1 tr2, side 2 tr3). Anyway all in all one of the best copies i've ever come across.
(I use stereo-cartridge for play throughout. If you use mono-cartridge, You can listen more brilliant sound! )

Grading is basically by visual inspection only, but being a long-time record collector, I've gotten pretty good at it.
I will mention honestly if I play graded, which I do if it seems necessary. But if you are "oversensitive" to detailed condition or want a "perfect copy", Please do not bid.
