This one is the mono and deep-grooved 1st pressing of Donald Byrd's OFF TO THE RACES. Hand-signed by Donald Byrd himself. Blue Note Records BLP-4007. This one is an original issue from Blue Note Records, not a reissue version of Classic Records or Analog Production. Recorded by Rudy Van Gelder with "RVG" and "EAR" stamped on the dead wax of both sides. No "R" or "INC" on both labels. Address on labels: "BLUE NOTE RECORDS. 47 WEST 63rd. NYC". The cover is also the 1st cover with laminated front cover. Address on the back cover: "BLUE NOTE RECORDS, 47 West 63rd. St., New York 23"
VERY RARE IN THIS CONDITION!
The vinyl looks and plays NM on both sides.
The cover is perfectly like new. Autographed on the front cover.
The record is play graded as well as visually. I attempt to grade conservatively, listing all significant flaws.
