Description

An original 1st press from 1966. Matrix 1/1. LARGE FORMAT 33 guarantees 1st press on this title...The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original mono cover with exposed flipbacks. As every Jazz fiend knows....you can find originals that look in great condition...but bit how will they play? And that' the tricky part - most DOn't play well.
Vinyl (Ex/Vg+) Give the vintage and the type of music involved this copy is in excellent order - having see just light use. A few  slight marks per side - nothing troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback with deviation in one track per side.... Intros and inbetweens are lovely and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. A stunning player. Not much to find fault with. A few crackles in a couple a couple of the tracks......e.g. the piano ONLY ones-- track 3 side two...is probably the only one it is slightly elevated. A couple of ticks early side 2. BUT on other tracks this badboy has a pretty dang clean delivery.,.it's energetic and snappy with detail..A Jazzz nut should like the twang on the reed instruments...and you can hear them PROPERLY on a quality great pressing like this.. it sounds like the cats are in the same room as you!.  Excellent.
Cover (Ex-) It's unusual to find original 60's covers this well preserved - particularly the white ones! Beautifully clean front without ageing or creasing. The rear has avoided most of the ageing process - very impressive. All flipbacks fully intact and secure. The spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
