Description

An original 1st issue of Ziggy Stardust on UK RCA from summer 1972. Matrix 2E/2E. The labels are consistent with 1st issue as they still retain the 'Titanic' publishing credits which were phased out immediately after the initial chart success in favour of 'Mainman'. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original Robert Stace cover. Please note that 1st issue covers, like this one, do not exhibit the 'Mainman' logo on the rear. Also included is the original lyric inner sleeve. We will transport in an anti-static inner sleeve for maximum protection. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In superb condition and has clearly only seen light use. Under close inspection there are a few very light marks either side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are very nice and quiet and the audio comes across with superb clarity. These early RCA copies are an absolute treat to behold! This really is a top-level performer with very little to find fault with. Interference is very minor indeed, and infrequent. All we could detect were a few crackles in a couple of isolated moments. If you need to have this classic title in your collection..insist on a great copy..<<like this one.
Cover (Ex/Ex+) In beautiful condition and I can tell you that not many original copies look anywhere near this good. Pristine front and back with barely any creasing or surface wear - this is seriously unusual. It hasn't faded at all either with all colours looking bold and vivid. Edge wear is pretty much non-existent and the openings are still sharp. The spine is 100% intact - extremely unusual. Overall the cover still retains perfect rigidity. FINAL UPGRADE.
Inner (Vg+) Lightest ageing. A two inch side split. And a one inch bottom edge split.
