One label is blank the other has the name 'Ferret Plugging Company' printed in black. In blue ink is hand written the track title 'Dreaming Of Me' the artists 'Depeche Mode' and the date '20.2.81Ashwells Nationwide, the sole appointed agent responsible for the interim holding and subsequent sale of ‘The Mike Read Collection’ can confirm this listing forms an authentic part of the vinyl record portfolio within the above named collection
The collection boasts thousands of items compiled over many years by the legendary DJ and Broadcaster Mike Read. Following the live auction held in London at the end of November where his numerous music publications, celebrity photos and bulk lots of vinyl were sold, we are now selling the highly sought after and much publicised gems from his collection.
Over the next 6 -7 weeks we will bringing you many more fantastic items from the Mike Read Vinyl Collection, including gems from the vast array of genres populated in the collection, rare punk classics, many acetates and test pressing, psych LP’s and arguably the biggest ever collection of Tamla Motown demos to ever come onto the market at once. The Motown demos can be put into eBay auctions individually or as one large collection – we’d be very interested to hear your thoughts and suggestions regarding this. In addition we will be auctioning many other items from the wider collection such as Mike’s ‘One Armed Bandit’ fruit machine in good working order, several pieces of art and some fantastic autographs from legends such as David Bowie, The Beach Boys, Sir Cliff Richard and Sir Paul McCartney to name but a few

Regarding bidding on the autographs soon to be listed, we are aware that unlawful traders continue to sell forged signatures at what would seemingly be either very reasonable or very cheap prices. Firstly due to the source they came from we are certain of there authenticity, however as a matter of course Ashwells Group has had each one examined by experts. We can therefore provide a guarantee of authenticity with each autograph purchased.
