Description
From 24th August with Sandie Shaw and Lulu on the front page in colour (middle pages also in colour), this piece of pop history features pictures and/or articles on Arthur Brown/Beach Boys/Sly & the Family Stone in the middle pages/Sandie Shaw/Lulu/Love Affair/John Mayall/Canned Heat/Julie Driscoll covering all of the back page, and smaller articles and/or pics of The Who/Moodyblues/Johnny Nash/Scott Walker/Koobas(disband)/Doors + dozens of other pieces of pop news of the day as well as the UK top 30, top ten LP's and the US top 20. Also has the latest record reviews including a review on the Tyrannosaurus Rex single One Inch Rock with a sizeable pic of Steve Peregrine Took and Marc Bolan as well as a letters page which I sometimes find very interesting. The crossword is untouched. This issue has 20 pages and is one of thousands I bought new in the 60's. They've been in my loft and untouched for over 25 years. It's shows wear on the opening edge and has a small tear at the bottom of the foldover side, otherwise is in excellent condition, although it has very slightly browned with age. Not in bad condition for a near 40 year old pop mag. I would imagine that most of these would have been thrown out over the years, making this and others I have quite rare.
