Description
Violet label with silver text. Deep groove. 203 S. Washington Ave., Bergenfield, N.J. address on both labels and the bottom of the back cover. 8 tracks with leader, Don Ellis, trumpet; Al Francis, vibes; Jaki Byard, piano; Ron Carter, bass; Charli Persip, drums. Recorded in 1961.
Cover: VG++ to Mint(-) Intact and clean. Some edge and wear on 1 corner. There are a very small number of small tears on the bottom edge. Light aging on the back cover.
Record: Mint(-) Visually shows no wear. There are no markings on the vinyl surface. Possibly played only 1 or 2 times. There are a few "spot-like" marks in the vinyl on Side A. Most likely this was in the manufacturing process. These do not effect the sound. There are several clicks on Side A and a small, very limited, light groove noise for a very short interval. Tracks 2 and 4 on Side B have very light, slight groove noise. This is barely audible. All the noise describe is infrequent , light and short in duration. Fine quality, close to new but with the slight noise described in detail. Audibly checked.
