Another attic find, one of my grandfathers records bought back from one of his late 50's US trips, this is known to have been stored away since at least 1983 if not far longer...


Vinyl - double heavy cleaned in the Degritter this shows to be free of any major surface wear/scratches/scuffs and probably grades somewhere close to VG+.  The records certainly been well played in the past, the labels are clean but theres some spindle marks.  It is perfectly flat, plays with some period snap and crackle (the odd pop) which is as much down to my old Shure elliptical where im sure a modern Fine line/Microline/SLC would alleviate much of it anyway.  All in all a very fine example.


Jacket - defies it age very nicely.  I find the US jackets of the era are well built from being so thick and generally hold up very well and this is no exception, so it feels very solid.  Aside from minor storage wear (laminate a little wrinkled) and a small split to the lower entry on the whole it looks half its actual age.  Hopefully the pictures can do it some sort of justice because its still very good!  Inner sleeve poly lined period type but not original.
