Description

Donald Byrd ?– Byrd In Hand

PLEASE READ! FULL DISCLOSURE!

I sold this record for $290 on eBay which I described as NM. The buyer disagreed, said it was VG+ and returned it to me. I’m not going to dispute their interpretation of the quality, it is up to the listener.

I am scaling back the vinyl quality to EX Excellent. There are a few superficial marks which I did my best to take new pictures of. The sound quality is fantastic except for one item I noted after listening again. The recording level of the piano distorts on a couple parts during piano solos. You can tell it’s the recording volume because it’s just the piano mic. I don’t know if it’s like this on other recordings of this album, like stereo or represses, but I did notice it this time around on my mono recording.

Please note my initial review of the cover below. I’ll scale this back to VG- minus as well because all the sides are taped, and other cited issues.

I strive to be as honest and forthcoming on all auctions I’ve ever listed which is reflected on my feedback which is 100%.

Below is the original description, with conditions changed.

Condition: Vinyl EX, Cover VG- due to taped sides, which doesn’t look too bad and kept the sides less worn, but also on back some discoloration, sticker mark and writing from someone in Japan.
