Description
Well if you are a Dr Hook fan this is what you have been waiting for. In this package you are getting the promo disk of Dr Hook & The Medicine show with, The Cover Of "Rolling Stone." Also the uber rare promo copy of Dr Hook & Friends with, The Cover Of "Radio Times." And the acetate of The Cover Of "Radio Times."
Released in the UK back in January 1973, aunty beeb (BBC) refused to play the original single release because it contained the name of a commercial publication and it would be considered advertising. (LOL). So a few of us at the CBS Studios, London, sang an overdubbed version as Dr. Hook & Friends. That was the birth of The Cover Of "Radio Times." Being that I worked at the studios in Whitfield Street at the time I got an acetate as well. If you look very carefully at the last photo you will see a tiny nick on the rim. The lead in groove is further in so your diamond stylus would be safe to play the disk.
