ORIGINAL 1969 2- LPs on the Blue Horizon label, featuring the legendary bluesman's final two sessions recorded in the early sixties with a three-piece rhythm section. Includes false starts and studio talk…a great insight into the working of the late great bluesman.
Both records are very good (nearer excellent). No scuffs or scratches, and play fine. The Gatefold sleeve has a little edge wear that’s all. No rips or damage.
A major influence on such as Brian Jones, Jeremy Spencer, Eric Clapton, John Mayall to mention only a few, Elmore sang his blues reinforced by his own guitar accompaniment which was as rough, violent and expressive as was his voice. Using the bottleneck technique most of the time, this was his last recorded session in 1963, and produced by Bobby Robinson. Elmore died that year on May 24th 1963.
