ELVIS PRESLEY – ELVIS PRESLEY (LPM-1254) FIRST PRESSING with LIGHT PINK “ELVIS” in 

RECORD: FAIR with numerous scuffs and scratches, at least a couple of which can be felt with the fingertip. This Indianapolis pressing has not been tested, but I guarantee you that it will have skips and/or repeats should you decide to play it! The labels are free of any writing or stickers, but show spindle marks on both sides. This is the album that started it all; Elvis’ debut album, released in March of 1956!  The matrix numbers on this Indianapolis pressing end with 6S/5S.

COVER: GOOD with upper and lower seam splits of approximately 6 and 9 inches, respectively. Although the spine is mostly legible, there is wear and some of the paper has flaked off, especially at the center. There is no tape, writing or staple holes anywhere on this cover. All colors are bold and clean. This is the scarce Light Pink “ELVIS” cover variety and believed to be the earliest variety produced by RCA Victor. The original glassine (or “onion skin”) inner sleeve is included, complete with a few tears and missing pieces.

All records are shipped in the correct cardboard folding mailers with the record separated from the cover, then inserted together within a clear polyvinyl sleeve, then sandwiched between two sheets of cardboard filler pads within the mailer to ensure optimum protection.
