Description

ELVIS PRESLEY----This is Elvis' very 1st record album. Original 1st pressing. Pale pink letters. Made in 1956. LPM-1254, MONO.  Self Titled. Lowest matrix# G2PP-1282-1S. Cover has tape on top seam and a piece of green tape on lower left.  The record has some scuff scratches on side 2, side 1 has some light feather scratches.   READ ON>>>>?

Elvis Presley, the album that started it all. This iconic records influence can still be felt today. Elvis was one of the top earners in show business last year.
The first release of this record credited the song writing to the song "Just Because" to P.D. - Public Domain. You can only imagine how surprised the authors were to find they weren't able to get on the gravy train.
The song writing credits were quickly changed on subsequent pressings. The record guides don't mention this fact. But serious record collectors look for this issue.
