Description
ELVIS' very first record album from 1956. LPM-1254. 1st pressing with light pink letters and the rare P.D. credit on record label** see below.
The cover front is excellent, NO marks, writing, stickers, ring wear or creases. The back is excellent too except for a name written on top right. Has invisible tape on 2 seams. The record is a 1st pressing with the words"NEW ORTHOPHONIC" HIGH FIDELITY in the center of label, not on right side like the reissues. has several light scratches and shelf wear. No chips, writing, stickers or warping. Original rice wax paper sleeve is included, taped on one side.
**The first release of this record credited the song writing to the song "Just Because" to P.D. - Public Domain. You can only imagine how surprised the authors were to find they weren't able to get on the gravy train.
The song writing credits were quickly changed on subsequent pressings. The record guides don't mention this fact. But serious record collectors look for this issue.
