This is Elvis' very first record album LPM-1254. Made in 1956. This is the 1st pressing with the P. D. credit (public domain) on the song "Just Because". This record has the lowest matrix numbers. G2PP-1282 1S  G2PP-1283 1S (on both sides) [some other LPM-1254 have for example 5S & 3S sides on the same record]

The first release of this record credited the song writing to the song "Just Because" to P.D. - Public Domain. The songwriters of "Just Because" who were left off of Elvis' first record, Bob Shelton, Joe Shelton, Sid Robin, did get credited on the album as the song writing credits were quickly changed on subsequent pressings. While your record guide may not  mention this fact, serious record collectors appreciate noting the issue.

For this auction, the Record Vinyl appears to be in at least Very Good (VG) condition and the Record Cover appears to be in at least Very Good (VG) condition. The grading is a guideline: Please look at the Photos to see if the condition meets what you are looking for, and bid accordingly. LP Record or 45 Grading:

• Still Sealed (SS)  : New, never opened
• Mint Minus (M-) : Opened, little signs of use
• Very Good Plus (VG+) : Light scuffs and scratches which should not affect the listening experience; overall very nice.
• Very Good (VG) : Medium scuffs and scratches; may have  imperfections such as tape, stickers, writing or scratching which may be felt with a fingernail; record should play through without skipping or repeating.
• Good (G)  : Heavy scuffs and scratches: playable condition, very evident surface noise.
• Poor (P)  : May be cracked or badly warped; a display copy

All records visually graded unless stated in the description.

LP Cover or 45 Picture Sleeve:

• Still Sealed (SS) :  New, never opened
• Mint Minus  (M-) :  Opened, little signs of use
• Very Good Plus (VG+)  : Very Light signs or use or wear;  overall very nice. May have small cut out hole, indentation, or minor writing such as initials on the back cover
• Very Good (VG) : Nice, yet obviously used condition which may have imperfections such as tape, stickers, discrete writing, minor seam splitting, or other noticeable imperfections which do not overwhelm the item.
• Good (G) :  Graphics and text all there, but highly evident signs of wear or use; imperfections such as tape, stickers, discrete writing, heavy seam splitting, or other noticeable imperfections which are significant distractions
• Poor (P) :  Rough shape showing major problems; usually a rare item to own for display
