EXTREMELY RARE VINYL LP OF THE OST/SOUNDTRACK TO CULT FILM 'ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK'.
SUPERB 1980's SYNTHESIZER SOUNDTRACK.
GREAT SNAKE PLISSKEN PICTURE ON THE SLEEVE. THE FILM STARRED KURT RUSSELL AS A FUTURISTIC REBEL, (LOOSELY) BASED ON CLINT EASTWOOD'S SCREEN PERSONA. HE IS SENT INTO NEW YORK (WHICH IS A NO GO AREA IN THE FUTURE) TO RESCUE THE PRESIDENT OF THE USA WHO HAS BEEN KIDNAPPED, PLAYED BY DONALD PLEASANCE. ALSO STARS LEE VAN CLEEF, ERNEST BORGNINE, ISAAC HAYES, SEASON HUBLEY, ADRIENNE BARBEAU and HARRY DEAN STANTON. WRITTEN AND DIRECTED BY JOHN CARPENTER, MUSIC BY JOHN CARPENTER.
Sleeve is in excellent condition, in fact it still has the shrinkwrap on but has been opened down the side to access the record. The top right of the sleeve is slightly creased. Front and back are in lovely condition. Lovely strong spine to the sleeve. The vinyl has only been played once or twice at the most and is MINT, no scratches or marks on the playing surface. Comes with the original clear inner sleeve.
UK pressing from 1981. Catalogue number is TER 1011, on TER label.
