!!!AN ALL ORIGINAL & COMPLETE1968 VERY FIRST PRESS STEREO!!!


This album was The Beatles FIRST release on the now famous Apple label. It was entered into the charts on the 7th of December 1968 and went straight to number one-where it stayed for 7 weeks! Making it the FIRST double album to get the top slot...EVER!
The rather unusual fact about this album is that it was the first release by The Beatles which contained only SOLO material.
By the time 1970 ended, the total sales of this wonderful album were estimated to be 6.5 Million! However...get this...The only other album that beat this a few years later was "Saturday Night fever" !!!

 GORGEOUSLY shiny vinyl.
I gave her a gentle professional clean om my Pro-Ject VC-S MkII Vacuum Record Cleaner and then played her all the way through on my Focus One Deck...W-O-W!
There were crisp peaks and wonderfully deep bassy lows.
Barely any background noise to speak of...A little, light bit on Julia and some occasional distant and faint background noise inbetween tracks...Nothing at all to worry about-I am being very critical...It really did sound SUPERB!
The singular point to note is the tiny, tiny skip at the start of Honey Pie-this is why I have knocked the price down-It could well be played over with a slightly heavier stylus than mine as I couldn't place the offending mark...
Visually stunning....I could see a just a few light scuff marks and very light marks from simple removal and replacement of the inner when angled towards the light to disc one, with some more marks to the start of side 1, disc 2, but they were not heard in audio playback. :)
Each record is as flat today as she was when born 51 years ago!!!
I even heard some different arrangements I hadn't heard before on Helter Skelter-it gave me a different way of looking at it with the 'chk,chkka,chkka..' guitar, cool (even the breakdown at the end of this track was silent as it faded out and then back in)!
This baby will go to the top of your collection.


The labels:

 All four of the labels are extremely bright and clean with the DARKER apple.
Only a handful of very light spindle marks-visible only when angled towards the light and really looking for them! ZERO hole wear to each label.
PLEASE SEE THE DETAILED IMAGES FOR YOURSELVES

"Mfd in the U.K." to each of the labels-on the one line, rather than the later editions, where it is split on two lines.

"An EMI Recording" only printed to sides 1 & 2 BUT without the brackets...With side 3 & 4 not having this statement-making this an incredibly early pressing.

 It is the first run TOP loading with a great shine to her and a wonderful creamy lustre.
The laminate has only a couple of tiny fingers of spidering emanating from the edges-nothing at all to worry about. There is one line of spidering near the top on the back panel which extends for around 15cm but is not offensive at all.
The corners have had some shelf wear, with light rubbing.
Garrod and Lofthouse gatefold.
The spine remains beautifully strong, with just a small amount of lifting just to the centre of it.
Has the printing of Stereo to the back top right.

 Original BLACK inners.
They are both all original with the die-cut corners and window to one side of each.
They have each survived the years incredibly well! There is wear to these inner with one having a complete side split and the other side having a split too...The 2nd inner is in better condition with just the one split to one side.

The 4 ORIGINAL pictures are present (John, Paul, George & Ringo).
They have been kept in simply great condition.
The singular point of note is a feint and light crease to the extreme bottom right corner of Georges portrait-really nothing to worry about at all.

It is the ORIGINAL 1st printing of this poster. Lyrics printed to the back and kiss to the front.
NO writing.
There is a split to ne of the folds and evidence of pin holes to the edge.
She is still intact as one piece and has great vibrant colours.
WOULD DISPLAY INCREDIBLY WELL.
