EX Authentic 1964 Songs Pictures and Stories INTRODUCING THE BEATLES VJ MONO LP

Here is a beautiful vintage AUTHENTIC PRESSING of a CLASSIC Beatles album from my collection offered up for sale: The Beatles 1st ever USA album "Introducing the Beatles" was first released in July of 1963.  This is a RARE vintage 1964  pressing released August 12th 1964 on Vee Jay records LP 1062 , has "color band" style brackets logo labels and original Vee Jay printed inner sleeve. This album features "Please please me", "Ask me why", Twist and Shout","I saw her standing there", "Boys" and more.         This title and release, "Songs Pictures and Stories of the Fabulous Beatles" (VJ-1092) with it's unique 2/3 gatefold cover was released by Vee Jay records as a result of a Capitol records lawsuit against Vee Jay records forbidding Vee Jay to continue issuing the "Introducing the Beatles" album in the USA. Undaunted, Vee Jay records issued the same "Introducing the Beatles" VJ 1062 disc inside this interesting cover with a deceptively different jacket number (VJ-1092) to disguise the forbidden sale of the VJ-1062 "Introducing the Beatles" disc inside! Vee Jay had pressed a lot of the "Introducing the Beatles" discs and wanted to cash in on the stash of original discs with this deceptive cover with different number jacket! An absolutely crazy story but TRUE. The Capitol vs. Vee Jay lawsuits went on throughout 1964 before Vee Jay was ultimately forced to stop sales. This unique and authentic Vee Jay pressing of "Songs Pictures and Stories of the Fabulous Beatles" is NOT to be confused with the multitudes of FAKE and COUNTERFEIT pressings released in later years.(see info below on how to spot a FAKE or COUNTERFEIT VJ pressing) 
The vinyl rates easily EX! Breathtaking super glossy and clean,  a few faint light marks, mostly sleeve marks that won't effect play, has been PLAY TESTED and plays excellent from start to finish,  a very enjoyable listen. The labels are in great shape without any readily visible spindle wear! The original owner wrote her first name on one side in the colorband. The original Vee Jay paper inner sleeve is clean and in overall very good condition. The inner sleeve seams have been neatly repaired with non yellowed tape. 
The unique cover rates VG+/EX, is clean and bright with no ring wear, NO SPLITS, top seam is excellent, binder edge is EX, intact and readable.The bottom seam has been neatly repaired / reinforced with clear non yellowed tape. (very unnoticeable).The front cover has a faint signature in upper right corner. The back cover is clean and pretty, has been very well preserved for 60 years! (see all 12 photos)

A NOTE ON VEE JAY COUNTERFEITS:  The "Introducing the Beatles" album is said to be the most counterfeited album in all history! There are tons of FAKES out there!!  ON THE "INTRODUCING THE BEATLES" cover: (VJLP-1062) A quick way to spot a fake: If George does not have a shadow on the front cover IT'S A FAKE.  ON THE "INTRODUCING THE BEATLES" disc:  (VJLP-1062) If the labels have a spindle hole between Introducing the Beatles and The Beatles IT'S A FAKE. (no exceptions!)
I can assure you this "Songs Pictures and Stories"  I have for sale is an ORIGINAL and AUTHENTIC Vee Jay pressing! This late 1964 "Songs, Pictures and Stories" with the 2/3 die cut gatefold cover was harder to fake for the bootleggers and fakes do not have this feature. A fake "Songs and Stories" (shortened title) did appear in a non gatefold cover. This unique 2/3 gatefold cover containing the original "Introducing the Beatles" disc is 100% authentic and is actually quite cool with lots of information about the band printed on the inner gatefold. Hence, the title "..and Stories". You will cherish having it in your collection! The book value is about $300 on this AUTHENTIC Vee Jay pressing! Some of these unique pressings were sold at the USA concerts in August of 1964.
