Description
About This Record. Here's some other cool offerings, in addition to my Very SPECIAL Velvet Underground and Lou Reed Collection for sale. Not to forget some of my Captain Beefheart that will soon be on the chopping block. No more hyping other than to say please CHECK my Feedback which shows you my grading Cover/Vinyl of other LPs I have recently sold and what the lucky people who are now taking care of my vinyl thought about our experience.
This is another Holy Grail item. The Search Party's privately pressed LP on Century Records entitled Montgomery Chapel. Only 600 copies were pressed, and most where thrashed at Church Group parties in Sacramento California, where this Milwaukee band ended up. If you like Nico, Grace Slick, Sandy Denny, combine them together with The Flat Earth Society and integrate into an awesome lead singer, throw in some good organ and awesome fuzz guitar, and voila! A truely amazing Christian psych fuzz band. I could not live without this and just paid extremely big bucks for a copy that also has some background noise like this one does in place. This is highly recommended and a keeper copy..
PLEASE see all my additional photos and details regarding condition of the cover and vinyl below. The photos of the labels or cover list the songs and any possible details about the labels.
I offer full refund including shipping both ways for USA and foreign buyers in case for some wildly strange reason you might be unhappy with this purchase. Comes hand-cleaned on my VPI 16.5 Record Cleaning machine (hate those automated VPI 17's) and placed in a new dust-free sleeve to ensure your grandchildren can enjoy this record also. And two plastic sleeves for moisture protection in case the parcel encounters rain (safety for you and me).
Please note that I work for eBay and this link is to the Code I have to abide by as an eBay employee: http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/everyone-employee.html I have no clue who works in the Collectibles Division and am not involved in any policy or other decisions that go on; I just happen to like vinyl and happen to work at eBay
Cover Condition: The Cover is in awesome EX+ shape. STRONG spine and seams and corners. Just some age wear (browning) to the cover, and some light creases in the cover. Top copy! Please see my photos of all seams and spine etc. This was a well-taken care of and rarely played record.
Vinyl Condition: EX. Looks M- almost unplayed on one side, and other side has what appears to be polylined sleeve degration marks that detract from the visual appearance, but don't affect sound. There are no scratches or such from inadequate stylus control, BUT Both sides play with a little background noise, like on all pressings, as some of the songs are very quiet when the fuzz guitar or organ are not blasting. And the pressing quality is such that all copies have a little crackle in the background. I think unless you are the chosen one, this would be impossible to upgrade; although I guess I did after 25 years. Please See all the Photos I took. I didn't take them for fun and frolic.
Inserts: Comes with original plain brown hole in the middle innersleeve, but also comes cleaned on my VPI Record Cleaning Machine and in a new protective innersleeve (so the old dust does not reattach! OH my gosh!!.
Labels: Mint Minus (proof of being a shelf queen rarely played and sometimes looked at) (see photos of all labels)
Packaging. I clean all vinyl on my V.P.I. Record Cleaning Machine and place it in a new innersleeve so the old dust does not reattach; but I also include the innersleeve that came with the LP if it is the original. I separate the vinyl in its new sleeve after cleaning from the cover, and place the cover and the separately packed vinyl in at least one if not two plastic outer sleeves that help protect against moisture damage during this cool transition to your record collection. I use sturdy cardboard containers with real corners and pack with at least one insert stiffener, and I place neon stickers on the front and back of the package indicating “Do Not Bend” and “Fragile” to help facilitate a safe passage.
Shipping and Payment. PayPal only. I ship promptly worldwide. The automatic eBay invoice cannot compute accurate shipping/postage charge if you buy more than one LP, so if you are unsure email me and ask for an invoice. I will ship by any method you want. But if you do not pay for protecting your purchase by requesting insurance, or expensive International Priority Mail, then please understand the record will be shipped at your own risk and not mine. I offer full refund on this record including shipping both ways. CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS: Please add sales tax!
