Description

Hello from Washington, DC!

Album: Dance of Survival

Artists: Edwin Birdsong

Year: 1975

Label: Bam-boo  original 1975 gatefold pressing. This is the version with the gold cover.

Condition - Cover: VG+ light to moderate wear, no seam splits.  Vinyl: M- a few small, superficial marks that don't affect play. Sound quality is extremely strong and dynamic, at least a 9. Professionally cleaned with a VPI record cleaner.

This album rocks!  This guy was supremely talented.

MY GRADING SYSTEMS: NM (near mint) is my highest grade for opened records (which would also include unplayed records).

GRADING DESCRIPTIONS

RECORDS:

GRADING Grading is based on the following criteria

    • Sealed = store stock new. AKA Mint.
    • Near Mint = opened but like new or near new, a 9 or better on a 1-10 scale
    • Mint- = extremely nice. Would be Near Mint, except for a couple of light hairlines or scuffs, which do not affect play. 8 to 9 on a 1-10 scale.
    • VG++ = still a very nice record with all or nearly all of its original gloss but may have a few more light, surface marks, hairlines, needle tracks or the like which should possibly effect play in a minor manner. 7 to 8 on a 1-10 scale.
    • VG+ = a nice, but used record that may have a series of light scuffs or scratches. It probably plays with a few pops, but has no serious problems. 6 to 7 on a 1-10 scale.
    • VG = a well-used record that still should sound OK when played, but may have moderate surface noise, pops, etc. 5 to 6 on a 1-10 scale.
    • VG- = a very well-worn record that plays through without skipping, but will do until a better copy comes along.

I don’t sell anything below a VG-.

I describe any defects in great detail, just as I would like them described to me if I was a buyer. I listen to every album I list, thus I can give it a reasonable grade, I also have the tendency to grade the records lower than I really believe them to be in. In grading them lower, it is my hope that the buyer will either be surprised by the actual condition of the LP or they will agree. In both cases, all buyers will be happy with their purchase.

Disks are shipped outside of the cover in the Poly album sleeve. When shipped the album(s) are placed in an Album Mailer Folder. This is to guarantee that any purchase arrives at your door in exactly the shape it is in now.
