Description
Electric Prunes, 'Mass In F Minor'.Original UK Reprise steamboat tri-colour label mono first press LP.
A Psychedelic Rock band formed in 1965 in Los Angeles' San Fernando Valley. They released two albums in 1967: "I Had Too Much to Dream (Last Night)" and "Underground". They broke up in 1968 during the recording sessions for their third album "Mass in F Minor", which was composed and arranged by David Axelrod. With the earliest A-1T B-1T matrices and B-1 C-1 stampers!
The Garrod & Lofthouse laminated flipback sleeve is intact & in EX condition, with some light corner wear & a few laminate creases on the front cover, the rear cover is slightly stained and discoloured. The spine is intact and fully readable, the plain inner is intact & in VG+ condition. The record is in visually EX condition, with a few faint & wispy sleeve removal hairlines/scuffs and one or two light needle marks visible under bright light on side 2. The labels are in EX condition, clean & bright with evidence of a few spindle markings. The sound reproduction is EX, still clear & precise throughout with no loud pops or crackle & definately no skips, sticks or jumps, but there is some light background noise during the run in grooves, overall a really great clear and punchy listen!! The matrix nos. are; RLP-6275, A-1*T stamper B-1, B-1*T stamper C-1. This is one of the earliest pressings of the original 1967 UK mono 1st issue of this album!
