Description
A 1959 first issue, this rare, Elvis Presley 'For LP Fans Only' LPM 1990 album features Elvis Presley's hand-signed autograph. With what's been described as the King's best singles released prior to his military service, this monaural LP is in fair to good-VG condition, showing only fine surface scratches and/or mars. The jacket itself is fair to poor, with writing, doodling and obvious wear. Its two halves have become separated and will need to be re-glued; while the autograph looks exceptionally good.
I've studied this autograph to assure that it's genuine, and am confident that it is Elvis Presley's. I've seen a wide range of variations of his basic autograph, and this seems to share some of his known characteristics in smooth, fluid strokes. Especially significant are the letters e and s in 'Best,' the shape of the E in Elvis, the e and s in Presley, followed by the shape of the letter y. Were someone to fake these it would appear more deliberate, and lack this overall style, flow, and continuity.
