Description
ELVIS PRESLEY - “BLUE HAWAII” (LSP-2426), A STUNNING, NEAR MINT FIRST PRESSING OF A 1961 ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK RECORDING! RECORD: NM with full original glossy surfaces! This "Living Stereo", Indianapolis pressing may have been played perhaps, once or twice and then tucked away. The labels are absolutely gorgeous, NM- with only a couple of very light spindle marks on each side. This particular album is scarce in this condition due to it being one of Elvis' most popular albums as most were played many, many times, subjecting them to many surface scuffs and scratches. This Original Soundtrack Recording was released in October of 1961 and includes the huge hit single, "Can't Help Falling In Love / Rock-A-Hula Baby". The Matrix numbers end with 10S/10S. This record was obviously produced just prior to the label change from "Living Stereo" to the extremely rare "STEREO" labels, as indicated by the higher matrix numbers as well as the 1964 inner sleeve (40A). COVER: NM with nearly full original shrink wrap! There is just a minor indentation on the upper edge, above and to the right of "LSP-2426". A small piece of shrink has torn away from the back side at the lower left corner (open end). The original store price sticker of $3.97 remains affixed on the front. This cover is simply amazing! INNER SLEEVE: The original "ELVIS' Great LP Catalog" (40A) sleeve from 1964.
